A KONAMI ID is your own unique ID which allows you to make use of a wide range of ONLINE services as provided by the KONAMI group.

Can I get a KONAMI ID for free?
Yes, you can.
However, fees for internet usage will need to be paid to your Internet Service Provider.
There may also be additional costs if you were to buy in-game items for some titles.

If I own a PC as well as a game console, do I need a KONAMI ID for each?
No, you can use the same KONAMI ID for both.

What if I forget my KONAMI ID?
First, click this link to open a special mail form.
Once it opens, enter the mail address you registered. You will then receive your KONAMI ID by e-mail.

Enter your KONAMI ID, registered email address, visual verification, and answer to your secret question correctly, and the new password input page will be displayed.

What if I forget the answer to my secret question?
First click on this link. When sending the mail form to us, set the title as "Forgot secret answer" . Please list your KONAMI ID, Full Name, Secret Question, Address, Zip Code, Phone Number, and E-mail Address.
Can I change my KONAMI ID?
No, once registered, no changes can be made to your KONAMI ID.
The only way you can change your KONAMI ID by deleting the current one and registering a new KONAMI ID.

How do I delete my KONAMI ID?

Can a KONAMI ID be restored once deleted?
No, it can not.

What is a "password expiration date"?
For security reasons, you can set an expiration period for their passwords. If so, the password will need to be changed every 180 days.

This will be the case if you have chosen the"change password periodically" option. Should you login after your password expires, you will automatically be forwarded to the update page where you will be asked to create a new password.
We recommend that you regularly change your password.
If you select the option to not change your password, make sure to keep your password secure.

If I choose "Change password periodically", does that mean I will no longer be able to use my KONAMI ID once my password expires?
No, even if your password expires, your KONAMI ID and password can still be used to log into our ONLINE titles.
Please also note that you will not be asked to change your password even after the expiration date when you log in to games or some sites that require you to enter your KONAMI ID and password.

Only when you login to the KONAMI ID portal site, (https://id.konami.net/login.do) will you be forwarded to the update page.

KONAMI ID has been locked.
Your account has been locked as you have entered your KONAMI ID incorrectly too many times.
When our system detects a risk of fraud for a KONAMI ID, the KONAMI ID is locked automatically.
Use "Reissue Passowrd" to unlock KONAMI ID have being locked.
Or, you can wait for a certain amount of time for it to unlock itself.


E-mail address/Login


What does it mean to log in with my e-mail address?
In addition to logging in with a KONAMI ID and password, it is now possible to log in with your e-mail address and password.

Your e-mail address will be used to verify your identity, so the following conditions apply:
・You have completed the e-mail confirmation process.
・The e-mail address is not registered with multiple KONAMI IDs.


If the website or game you wish to use does not support logging in with e-mail addresses, you will not be able to use your e-mail address to log in.
In that case, log in with your KONAMI ID.

How do I log in with my e-mail address?
Enter your e-mail address and password.

You can also log in using your KONAMI ID and password.

The password is the same for both your KONAMI ID and your e-mail address.
You can use your password with your KONAMI ID or your e-mail address.
I cannot log in with my e-mail address.
In the following cases, you will need to update your e-mail address in order to log in with it:
・Multiple KONAMI IDs have been registered using the same e-mail address.
・You no longer have access to the currently registered e-mail address.
・You registered the wrong e-mail address.


If the website or game you wish to use does not support logging in with e-mail addresses, you will not be able to use your e-mail address to log in.
In that case, log in with your KONAMI ID.

Will I still be able to use my KONAMI ID?
Yes, you can keep using your KONAMI ID.

You do not need to register a new KONAMI ID.
Can I register a new KONAMI ID and pull information from a previously registered KONAMI ID?
We are sorry, but that cannot be done.


E-mail address / E-mail receipt confirmation


What is meant by e-mail receipt confirmation?
It is a means to identify your e-mail address and that it can receive e-mails.
How can I confirm that I received the e-mail?
1. Use your KONAMI ID to login to the KONAMI ID Portal.

2. From the Login Menu, go to "Resend confirmation e-mail".
An e-mail titled "[KONAMI ID] Resend confirmation e-mail" will be sent to your e-mail address.

3. Please read the e-mail fully before continuing.
You will be forwarded automatically to the "KONAMI ID BASIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS" when you access the URL displayed in the e-mail you receive.
Agreeing to it will complete the process.
After I accessed the URL in the confirmation e-mail, it showed up as expired.
The URL in the confirmation e-mail is valid for 3 days.
Use your KONAMI ID to login into the KONAMI ID Portal and then select "Resend confirmation e-mail" from the Login Menu.
A confirmation e-mail will then be resent.
What happens if I don't confirm the receipt of my confirmation e-mail?
While your KONAMI ID can be used to play our free titles, you will be unable to make purchases for certain ONLINE titles.
The "Resend confirmation e-mail" will be shown on the KONAMI ID portal site if you login without confirming the receipt of your confirmation e-mail,
An e-mail did not arrive even though you pressed "E-mail receipt confirmation".
Please login to the KONAMI ID portal site and then, from the "View/Edit registered information"menu, confirm that the e-mail address you have registered is correct.
If your e-mail address is correct, please click on "Resend confirmation e-mail" from the Login Menu.
If you don't receive a reply despite entering the e-mail address you registered correctly, it may be possible that e-mails from konami.net are being filtered as spam (inbox filter settings) by the Internet service provider or e-mail software you are using.

If you would like to fix an error in your e-mail address, or register a new one, you will need to update your e-mail address.
How do I change my e-mail address?
Login to the KONAMI ID Portal and then update your e-mail address from "Update e-mail address".

1.Enter your new e-mail address and advance to the next page.
2.An e-mail receipt confirmation e-mail will be sent to your new e-mail address.
3.Accessing the URL contained in the e-mail will complete the e-mail address update process.

Please note that your e-mail address will not be updated until you have completed the e-mail confirmation process.
If you have registered your KONAMI ID with any of the below countries, you will be unable to make online credit purchases.

About KONAMI OTP Service, procedure before purchase of the token and outline of the OTP


What is the KONAMI OTP Service?
KONAMI OTP Service is a system to prevent improper use of KONAMI IDs by people other than the users themselves through authentication using the OTP, an ID (e-mail address) and a registered password for services in which the KONAMI ID can be used.
I use services in which the KONAMI ID can be used. Will I have to use the KONAMI OTP Service in the future?
The use of the KONAMI OTP Service can be started or suspended at your discretion.
The KONAMI OTP Service is a system to prevent improper access to the KONAMI ID by malicious third persons. Therefore, we recommend the KONAMI OTP Service for users of all applicable services.
Can we use the KONAMI OTP Service in all services that support KONAMI ID?
We intend to sequentially shift each service that supports the KONAMI ID into a service in which the KONAMI OTP Service can be used.

Is the KONAMI OTP Service free?
Currently, users are asked to purchase the KONAMI OTP TOKEN to use the KONAMI OTP Service or the Right to Use the service for a prescribed period if they already own a KONAMI OTP TOKEN.
The KONAMI OTP Service can be used with no extra cost within the validity period of the KONAMI OTP TOKEN that you purchased (until the guarantee period for the battery past or the built-in battery worn out, whichever comes earlier).
The software token can be used for the prescribed number of days after the purchase.
* This service will download a software token, device registration and online help reference.
Please note that some service providers may charge usage fees for this data transfer.

What is the KONAMI OTP TOKEN used for the in the KONAMI OTP Service?
It is a device/application that can be used for authentication in services that support the OTP with the KONAMI ID and generates a new password, which is different for each use.

Can I use more than one software token with one KONAMI ID?
You can use only one software token with one KONAMI ID.
Can I use the KONAMI OTP TOKEN in services provided by other companies?
The token cannot be used services that do not support the KONAMI OTP Service.
I don't have the KONAMI ID. Can I use the KONAMI OTP Service?
The KONAMI OTP Service is designed to reinforce the authentication of the KONAMI ID.
Thus, a prerequisite for the use of the service is a KONAMI ID. Please be careful when you purchase the KONAMI OTP TOKEN.
Is a network connection required for using the software KONAMI OTP TOKEN?
A network connection is required for downloading (directly on to a device to be used), for the purchase of the Right to Use, and for device registration. However, once the activation has been completed, the OTP will be displayed without a network connection.

How can I register a software token with the KONAMI ID?
Download the software token to a device which can use the token and then purchase the Right to Use as well as register the device.
Obtain a KONAMI ID to use the KONAMI OTP Service.
*You are required to register your e-mail address and confirm e-mail receipt at the e-mail address.
*An e-mail including the activation password will be sent to the registered e-mail address. Please check your e-mail settings if you use an e-mail filter, etc.

1)Download and install the application for the software token to your Android device.
The application can be downloaded from Google Play.

2)Start the downloaded application and confirm the expiration date with the KONAMI ID and password that you will use for the service.
If you have already used the KONAMI OTP, enter the OTP generated by any registered tokens to perform authentication.
  
If the expiration date has passed, purchase the Right to Use.
If the expiration date has not passed, proceed to the next step, device registration.

3)Enter the KONAMI ID and password (OTP) to be newly used in “Device registration” of the setting menu. Once the authentication has completed, an e-mail including the “activation password” will be sent to the e-mail address that has been registered with KONAMI ID.
    
When you received the e-mail, tap "Activation" in the setting menu of the application, then enter the activation password included in the e-mail and tap "Activate".
  
Once the activation is successfully completed, the OTP can be displayed by pressing the [Password Generation] button.
* The activation password will become unnecessary once the activation is completed.


To actually use the token after purchase


When and how should I enter the OTP in the KONAMI OTP Service?
There are two ways, depending on the services in which the password can be used. Please check each service to confirm the procedure you should use.
1) Enter the OTP at time of authentication of the KONAMI ID (KONAMI ID or e-mail address and registered password).
2) Enter the OTP only when required by the service after authentication of the KONAMI ID.
I don't use the KONAMI OTP Service, but the OTP entry field appears on the login screen. What should I do?
If you do not use the KONAMI OTP Service, log into the website without entering anything in the OTP entry field.
Can I suspend the use of the KONAMI OTP Service?
You can suspend the authentication of a registered KONAMI OTP TOKEN one by one and can also suspend the use of the KONAMI OTP Service by suspending the use of all registered KONAMI OTP TOKENS.
Suspension/resumption of the use of the KONAMI OTP Service can be conducted in the "KONAMI ID portal".
If you wish to suspend use, please contact us through the "Inquiry".
If you suspend the use of the KONAMI OTP Service, authentication is performed with the KONAMI ID and registered password only. We ask you to ensure security by using a more complex password, etc.

I've lost my mobile phone on which the software token has been installed. What should I do?
You need to suspend the use of the missing token in order to protect it from unauthorized use by malicious third persons.
If you have another token (software), you can temporarily suspend the use of the token after logging in to the KONAMI ID portal site.
If you do not have any other tokens or you cannot figure out how to use them, please contact us through the "Inquiry".

My Right to Use the software token authentication remains valid. Can I cancel it?
You cannot cancel it, but you can suspend the authentication .
Please note that we cannot refund the Right to Use the authentication fee regardless of the remaining period.
If I have registered with the KONAMI OTP Service, can I delete my KONAMI ID?
The KONAMI ID can be deleted. However, once the KONAMI ID is deleted, the use of the KONAMI OTP Service will be suspended.
Please note that a registered KONAMI OTP TOKEN cannot be re-registered with other KONAMI ID.
I used the software token and replaced my device with a different model. How can I set up the device to continue to use the token?
Please use the following procedure.

Download the software token to a device which can use the token and then purchase the Right to Use as well as register the device.
Obtain a KONAMI ID to use the KONAMI OTP Service.
*You are required to register your e-mail address and confirm e-mail receipt at the e-mail address.
*An e-mail including the activation password will be sent to the registered e-mail address. Please check your e-mail settings if you use an e-mail filter, etc.
